Wedding Organizational Tips

So you are engaged. Now is the time to start organizing your wedding. Here are some tips to help you do this without all of the stress:

Tip #1: Set A Budget

Knowing your budget is important for moving forward. Start a notebook for your event. Write down important information and create a budget for each part. Create a price range including a minimum amount and one not to exceed for each expense. This will help you keep organized and smoothly move on to the next steps.

Tip #2: Make A Guest List

Start by inviting the closest people around you because it's really easy to end up with a list of guests to no end. Write in your notebook the names of people you absolutely want (family and best friends). Continue with your close friends and family. The number of guests can greatly effect your budget.

Tip #3: Get Help

You can hire someone to help plan your wedding if you have the budget for it. Even if you choose not to do this, enlist family or friends to help you out. Consider enlisting people from your wedding party. Choose people that you trust, with strong organizational skills and who are able to be there for you physically and emotionally. Delegate out tasks and then follow up with those that you delegated tasks to.

Tip #4: Set A Date

First choose what season that you would like to have your wedding in. From there, you can select a specific date. Saturday's are by far the most popular days, but keep in mind that you may be able to get discounts from vendors and venues if you pick a different day of the week. The more that you plan in advance the more likely you will be able to secure any date from your preferred vendors and venue.

Tip #5: It Is Your Day. Do It Your Way

Your wedding should represent you and your values. Don't be afraid to do your own thing. If you are considering a theme, then Pinterest can be very useful for ideas, decoration, and inspirations.
